Increase in number of house sales in lead up to Brexit deadline

Newly purchased homes

Rightmove published an interesting article just recently discussing the affect that the looming Brexit deadline is having on the housing market.

There are reports that the number of sales being agreed is up 6.1% compared to the same month last year. The average time from offer to completion when buying a house is approximately 3 months and with the deadline for leaving the EU getting closer, many buyers want to complete and be moved in before this time. There appears to be a race against time to get purchases through now.

The increase has been assisted by mortgage lenders offering better deals, and sellers being more willing to drop their prices. This has encouraged potential purchasers who were perhaps holding back to take advantage of the situation and put any hesitancy behind them.

I know here at WWY Ltd we have had a much busier August so far than we were expecting and this would fall in line with the details given in Rightmove’s latest article. With this being the time of year that many staff (particularly those with school age children) take their main holidays, firms may find that they have a need for help in certain areas.

We have a dedicated team of typists experienced in the surveying and housing market field that can help surveying firms with their report typing requirements. We are able support both the individual surveyor working for themselves all the way up to the larger companies and can type into all the industry recognised software (Quest, Isurv, Valuation Exchange, Word docs, etc).

Whether you are looking just for holiday and sickness cover, something more regular or a full report typing service, please contact us to discuss your requirements. We are a friendly team who are proud of the services they offer.
